The magneto-hydraulic breaker protects motor from overcharges and hort circuits. They have been designed for D.C. as it intervenes in case of over-current, breaking the circuit in order to avoid damage to the motor. They vaiable in serval ratings according to the capacity of the motor, power supply 2/24Vdc.
